Privacy Policy

Depending on how you interact with ElevateU, we may collect the following categories of information.

Contact and identification information. This may include your name, email address, telephone number, school or institution, organization, role, grade level, graduation year, or similar information.

Program and educational information. This may include responses to activities, assessments, surveys, questionnaires, reflections, assignments, program participation, career interests, skills, goals, and other information submitted in connection with an ElevateU program.

Career-readiness and assessment information. This may include responses and results associated with ElevateU assessments, including the Career Readiness Index and related tools. These tools may generate scores, readiness indicators, categories, suggested areas for development, career-related insights, or other educational feedback.

Career materials and personalization information. For certain enhanced Career Readiness Index features, this may include résumé content, LinkedIn profile content, job descriptions, and other information you voluntarily provide for analysis or personalization.

Student-created content. This may include portfolios, projects, presentations, reflections, analyses, work samples, business-challenge submissions, and other materials voluntarily submitted or created through an ElevateU program.

Communications. This may include information submitted through contact forms, consultation requests, email correspondence, surveys, newsletter subscriptions, or communications with ElevateU personnel.

Website and technical information. This may include IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referring pages, approximate geographic information, session information, and information about interactions with our website.

Transaction information. Where applicable, we may maintain records relating to purchases or program registrations. Payment information may be processed by third-party payment providers rather than directly stored by ElevateU.

We may collect information:

• directly from you;
• from a parent or guardian;
• from a school, college, university, educator, counselor, or organization through which you participate in an ElevateU program;
• through forms, assessments, surveys, or activities;
• automatically through our website and associated technologies; and
• through service providers used to operate our website and Services.

We may use personal information to:

• provide, operate, and administer ElevateU programs and Services;
• deliver assessments, educational resources, workshops, courses, business challenges, and portfolio experiences;
• generate assessment results and educational feedback;
• use artificial intelligence and related technologies to generate, analyze, personalize, or enhance certain Career Readiness Index reports, insights, recommendations, and related features;
• communicate with students, parents, educators, schools, universities, and clients;
• respond to inquiries and consultation requests;
• administer program participation;
• provide customer or technical support;
• improve our curriculum, assessments, programs, website, and Services;
• understand how our website and programs are being used;
• conduct program evaluation, research, and improvement using aggregated or de-identified information where appropriate;
• send newsletters, educational resources, program information, and marketing communications where permitted by law;
• maintain security and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access; and
• comply with legal and contractual requirements.

ElevateU may provide Services directly to schools, school districts, colleges, universities, and other educational organizations.

When ElevateU receives student information through an educational institution, we use that information to provide the applicable educational Services and for other purposes permitted by our agreement with the institution and applicable law.

Where appropriate, additional terms governing student information, confidentiality, security, retention, deletion, FERPA, or other educational privacy requirements may be established through a separate agreement with the participating educational institution.

ElevateU does not sell student educational information for advertising purposes.

Where information constitutes an education record protected by FERPA, the participating educational institution and applicable agreement may impose additional restrictions concerning ElevateU's access, use, disclosure, and retention of that information.

ElevateU's website and Services are designed primarily for high school students, university students, young adults, parents, educators, and educational institutions.

The Career Readiness Index is specifically designed for students and young adults age 16 and older who are beginning to explore careers, professional skills, future opportunities, and preparation for the workforce.

ElevateU does not currently independently verify the age of every individual who accesses the website or completes the Career Readiness Index.

ElevateU's general website and online assessment tools are not directed to children under 13, and ElevateU does not knowingly seek to collect personal information online directly from children under 13.

If you are under 13, you should not submit personal information through ElevateU's public website or online assessments.

If ElevateU learns that it has collected personal information directly from a child under 13 in circumstances requiring parental consent and the required consent has not been obtained, we will take appropriate steps to delete the information or otherwise comply with applicable law.

Parents or guardians who believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to ElevateU may contact us at privacy@elevateusolutions.com.

Certain ElevateU educational programs may separately be offered to younger students through schools or educational institutions. Such programs may be governed by separate agreements, permissions, privacy protections, and school requirements.

This distinction is important because COPPA applies to child-directed online services collecting personal information and general-audience services with actual knowledge that they are collecting personal information from children under 13.

ElevateU assessments and related results are designed for educational, developmental, and career-exploration purposes.

Results may include scores, career-readiness indicators, AI-readiness indicators, competency areas, suggested areas for development, career-related insights, archetypes, pathways, recommendations, or similar outputs.

These results are not psychological or clinical diagnoses and should not be interpreted as definitive predictions of academic performance, career suitability, employment success, compensation, or future outcomes.

Assessment results should be considered alongside an individual's interests, experiences, circumstances, judgment, educational opportunities, and guidance from appropriate parents, educators, counselors, or other professionals.

Certain ElevateU programs teach participants how to use artificial intelligence responsibly and effectively, and certain ElevateU Services—including features of the Career Readiness Index—use AI-enabled technologies to generate, analyze, personalize, or enhance reports, insights, recommendations, or related content.

For AI-assisted Career Readiness Index features, information may be transmitted through Lovable's AI infrastructure to an external AI model provider, currently Google Gemini. Depending on the feature, this information may include a user's name, assessment responses, assessment scores, report content, and, for certain enhanced features, résumé content, LinkedIn profile content, job descriptions, or other information voluntarily submitted for analysis or personalization. Additional details are provided in Section 9.

AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, outdated, or otherwise unreliable. It is provided for educational and career-development purposes and should be reviewed using independent judgment.

When participants independently access third-party AI platforms outside ElevateU's Services, those platforms operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

Participants should not enter confidential school information, proprietary business information, passwords, financial information, health information, sensitive personal information, or other restricted information into AI systems unless necessary for the requested ElevateU feature and authorized to do so.

ElevateU may establish additional AI-use requirements for particular programs, schools, business challenges, or educational activities.

ElevateU uses cookies and similar technologies where appropriate to operate and improve its website and understand how visitors interact with it.

ElevateU currently uses Google Analytics to understand website traffic and usage.

Google Analytics may process information such as browser and device information, pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location derived from technical information, session activity, and other information concerning interaction with the website.

ElevateU does not intend to provide personally identifiable information submitted through student assessments or website forms to Google Analytics.

Users may be able to control or block certain cookies through their browser settings or other available privacy controls.

We use third-party service providers and technology platforms to operate our website, provide the Career Readiness Index, communicate with users, process payments, analyze website usage, and deliver other features of our Services. These providers may process personal information on our behalf or as necessary to provide their services.

Depending on which ElevateU services you use, these providers may include:

ElevateU Website

Lovable — provides technology used to host and operate the ElevateU website and website functionality and delivers messages submitted through website forms to ElevateU. The ElevateU website itself does not maintain a separate database containing copies of website form submissions. Lovable may maintain technical delivery records and information necessary to manage email delivery, such as bounce and suppression information.

Cloudflare — provides infrastructure, security, performance, and network-delivery services associated with operation of the website.

Google Analytics — helps us understand how visitors use the ElevateU website. Our current implementation is intended to track information such as page visits and website interactions rather than the names, email addresses, telephone numbers, or message content entered into website forms.

Google Fonts — provides fonts used on the website and may receive technical information, such as a visitor's IP address, when font resources are requested.

Career Readiness Index

The Career Readiness Index uses additional technology providers to provide accounts, store assessment information, generate reports, communicate with users, and support paid features.

Supabase — provides database and authentication infrastructure used by the Career Readiness Index. Information stored in Supabase may include account profiles, assessment responses, assessment scores, and other information associated with a user's use of the Index.

Lovable AI Gateway and Google Gemini — certain Career Readiness Index features use artificial intelligence to generate, analyze, personalize, or enhance report content, institutional insights, and related functionality. Information may be transmitted through Lovable's AI infrastructure to Google Gemini or another AI model made available through the Lovable AI Gateway for these purposes.

Depending on the feature being used, information processed by these AI services may include a user's name, assessment responses, assessment scores, and report content. For Premium Plus or similar enhanced features, information may also include résumé content, LinkedIn profile content, job descriptions, and other information voluntarily provided by the user for analysis or personalization.

Certain administrative and institution-facing features may also use AI-assisted functionality. In connection with these features, cohort-level statistics and the name of the participating institution may be transmitted through Lovable's AI infrastructure to the AI provider used to generate or support institutional insights. Where reasonably practicable, ElevateU seeks to limit information transmitted for these functions to information necessary to provide the applicable feature.

GetResponse — provides email and communication services associated with the Career Readiness Index. When a user unlocks a report, subscribes to communications, or otherwise provides information for communications, GetResponse may receive information such as the user's email address, first and last name, and information identifying the source of the signup or interaction. ElevateU may use GetResponse to send report-related communications, educational resources, program information, and marketing communications where permitted by law. Marketing communications include an unsubscribe mechanism that users may use to opt out of future marketing communications.

Google Sign-In — allows users who choose this option to authenticate using their Google account. Google may process information associated with authentication in accordance with Google's own privacy practices.

Stripe — provides payment-processing services for paid features where available. Payment information submitted through Stripe is processed by Stripe in connection with the transaction. ElevateU does not need to directly receive or store complete payment-card information in order to process transactions through Stripe.

How Artificial Intelligence Is Used

Some Career Readiness Index reports and features are AI-assisted. Artificial intelligence may be used to transform assessment information into personalized written reports, insights, recommendations, or other content.

AI-generated content is based in part on information supplied by the user and scores or other information generated through the assessment. AI-generated reports and recommendations are intended to provide educational and career-development information and should not be treated as guarantees of employment, career success, academic outcomes, or other results.

We may modify the particular technology providers or AI models used to provide these functions over time. Where required, we will update this Privacy Notice to reflect material changes in how personal information is processed.

Service Provider Access and Data Minimization

We seek to limit the information shared with service providers to information reasonably necessary to provide the relevant functionality. Service providers may also process technical information necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve their services.

Third-party providers process information subject to their own terms, privacy practices, contractual obligations, and applicable law. ElevateU does not control every aspect of a third party's infrastructure, retention practices, or internal processing.

ElevateU may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

• technology and service providers supporting our Services;
• educational institutions administering programs in which a participant is enrolled;
• professional advisers such as attorneys, accountants, insurers, or consultants;
• governmental or legal authorities where disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or security; or
• a successor organization in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, or transfer of all or part of ElevateU's business, subject to applicable law.

ElevateU does not sell student personal information.

Some ElevateU programs may connect students with companies, nonprofits, community organizations, or other organizations through authentic educational challenges.

Participation in a challenge does not automatically authorize ElevateU to provide a participating organization with private educational information or unrelated personal information about a student.

Information and student work may be shared with participating organizations where necessary to conduct the applicable project and consistent with applicable program terms.

Students must comply with confidentiality requirements associated with a particular challenge.

Students may create portfolios, projects, presentations, analyses, reflections, recommendations, and other original work through ElevateU programs.

Unless different terms are expressly established for a particular program or institutional agreement, students retain ownership of their original student-created work.

Students are responsible for ensuring that materials made publicly available through a portfolio do not contain confidential information, proprietary company information, private information concerning another person, or content they do not have permission to disclose.

Specific business challenges may have additional confidentiality, intellectual-property, or portfolio-use requirements that will be communicated separately.

ElevateU will not publicly use a student's identifiable work, name, photograph, likeness, or testimonial for marketing purposes merely because the student participated in an ElevateU program. Where appropriate, separate permission will be obtained.

ElevateU retains personal information for only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing Services, administering programs, maintaining appropriate business records, resolving disputes, satisfying contractual obligations, and complying with applicable legal requirements.

Retention periods may vary according to the nature of the information and the applicable program or institutional agreement.

When information is no longer reasonably necessary, ElevateU may delete, anonymize, or aggregate it, subject to applicable legal and contractual requirements.

ElevateU uses reasonable administrative, organizational, and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or misuse.

However, no electronic transmission, online service, or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Users are responsible for protecting their passwords and credentials and should notify ElevateU promptly if they believe unauthorized access has occurred.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights regarding personal information about you, including rights to request access, correction, or deletion of certain information.

You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time through the unsubscribe mechanism provided in the communication.

Parents or guardians may contact ElevateU regarding personal information concerning their minor child where applicable.

ElevateU may take reasonable steps to verify identity or authority before responding to a privacy request.

Depending upon whether particular California privacy statutes apply to ElevateU, these rights may include rights relating to access, correction, deletion, disclosure, or copies of certain personal information.

ElevateU will not unlawfully discriminate against an individual for exercising rights provided by applicable privacy law.

If ElevateU becomes subject to additional California Consumer Privacy Act requirements because of its size, business practices, or other applicable statutory criteria, ElevateU will update its privacy practices and notices as required.

ElevateU may provide links to websites, AI platforms, educational tools, portfolio platforms, or services operated independently by third parties.

ElevateU does not control the privacy, security, content, or practices of independent third-party services. Users should review applicable privacy policies and terms before providing personal information to those services.

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our Services, technology, legal obligations, or business practices.

The updated policy will be posted with a revised "Last Updated" date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice regarding material changes.
